I really love romance novels, but really ones when the male role is chivalrous. I fell in love with Edward Cullen, as well as the men in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Does anybody know any other books that have characters like that? I would greatly appreciate it.

I just finished the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer and loved them! Is there anything similar to them? Preferably fantasy romance, or just any book that you could not put down? Thanks!

What are some good authors of romance novels for younger women?

I have a crazy addiction to romance novels, but sometimes I feel let down when the stories are about older women. It seems the only things the women want are a) to get married, and b) to have children, and I just can’t relate. I mean mid to late twenties just seems to work best for me. Also, I really don’t enjoy novels with ostentatious little kids. Let me know what authors you think I might like.
PS I love steamy novels.

I am not talking about just romance. I am talking about the historical type. The kind that is set in the 1800s or before and they marry without love and end up falling in love and may not kiss until they have been married a year. Those types. WHo has them and how can I find them on the internet. I would like a club that I could join.

What is the general structure of romance novels?

I am looking to write my first mostly romance story during NaNoWriMo, so I am planning it now. It will be a fantasy romance.
However, I don’t read much romance. I have only read two romance novels in my entire life, so I’m not as sure about the structure. From what I can tell, the man and woman usually get stuck together for some reason (and it will be a heterosexual novel) but they don’t actually like each other very much. During the time they’re stuck together, they fall in love but are prevented from being together for some reason, usually relating to the reason they are together in the first place. Then they overcome whatever is keeping them apart (so to speak) and they can be together.
Is that the gist of it? Can anyone elaborate further to give me a more detailed explanation?
NaNaWriMo, in case you don’t know, stands for National Novel Writing Month. It is a competition that takes place during the month of November, and writers try to create a 50,000 word novel in 30 days.
