How to build a relationship with monetary supporters?

PROFESSIONAL MARKETING AND BUSINESS PEOPLE ONLY PLEASE: What is your best suggestion on how to build a more personal relationship with churches that support an organization. We have over 100 supporting churches. It has been suggested that we have a more “personal” relationship with each. How can this be done? Special events, letters? We are not a huge organization, so our time to spend with each church is very limited. Several of us are not agreeing on how this should be approached, any suggestions?
