I just read this book, Twice Kissed by Lisa Jackson. It is sort of a mystery/suspense/romance type of thing. It might have a little less romance than you want, but it was a good read if you’re interested.
Happy reading!
Three Fates and The Sisters’ Island Trilogy By Nora Roberts are my favorites, and I highly reccomend.
Try Karen Rose. All her books are full of action and romance.
Try also if you can:
Susan Andersen
Linda Howard
Beverly Barton
You might enjoy reading Nora Roberts (not her historical romance but modern types) who also goes by the pseudonym J.D. Robb. I find them exiting and full of mystery. I also enjoy books by Judith McNaught who I consider by far one of the best romance authors ever.
Julie Garwood—–anything by her
Nora Roberts——Midnight Bayou, Blue Smoke, Northern Lights, Angels Fall, Carolina Moon, Quinn Brothers Series, The Reef, Three Fates.
Shannon McKenna—Behind Closed Doors, Standing in the Shadows

Heather Graham
Karen Marie Moning

one of my favorite authors is Hannah Howell…she writes scottish highlander romances…I just finished the Highland Bride and it was great…
by the way, Karen Marie Moning’s whole highlander series is wonderful…her books time travel between modern day and 15th century Scottish highlands
The Outlander series is good.
They’re hard to find, but Roberta Gellis’ books about medieval Europe or the early 1800’s are good. You learn a lot of history painlessly, too. I got to explain the 100 Years’ War to a bunch of Mensa members because of her books.
