What are good romance and mystery books you’d recommend?
Posted by echan76 under Books & Authors
Ti Amo Alex mio marito asked:
I’m 18 years old and I love reading. I finish books within a day when I’m really into it. Some of my favorite genres are romance, mystery, and books that have to do with people around my age or above. At the book store there are to many books to choose from. I’m a good reader and I like challenging books. I’ve read books like Pride and Prejudice. Do you have any book recommendations?

“You Suck, a love story” I don’t remember who it’s by but if you google it you’ll find it. It’s a second part but I never read the first one and you’ll get it if you read it. It’s a very good action/romance/comedy book
Twilight ! Twilight is a great book its romance and bella is 18 so your age
Read “Napoleon’s Pyramids”, I just finished it, its a good mystery with a little Historical lesson included. Also the Biography entitled ” Growing up hard in Harlan County”. I read a lot from my County Library, they have a lot to choose from.
ROFLMAO TWILIGHT!!!! WOOT!!!! DO EEEET!!!! REEEADDD THEE BOOKS!!!
Well, I don’t really have any with people your age in it, but here are some of my favorite romance novels:
Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon
The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks
Lightning by Danielle Steele
Daddy by Danielle Steele
My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picuolt (not really romance, but fantastic book)
Hope you like those
I love to read too! One of my favorite authors is Jane Green. Her book Jemima J is a must read! You will not be able to put the book down. Judy Blume’s book “Summer Sisters” is my all time favorite book. I have read it numerous times. Janet Evanovich has a numerology series based on a character named Stephanie Plum. There are about 14-15 books in the series. They are awesome books! All of the books in the series all have what you’re looking for…mystery, romance, and comedy. You will need to start at the first book and proceed in sequence. You will fall in love with the characters. Happy reading!
The Pendragon Series, by Stephen Lawhead.
They are set in Arthurian times and have mystery, romance, action, and some fantasy.
If you like non-fiction, read:
1. The Last Lecture - Randy Pausch
2. Somewhere in Heaven (can’t think of author. It is about Christopher and Dana Reeves).
Romance & Mystery combined? I’d heartily recommend the celebrated classic Daphne Du Maurrier’s Rebbecca.
