Me and a few girl frineds are having a sleepover/girls night. What are some good movies we can watch. We really likes The Notebook, A Walk To Remember, Titanic stuff like that

We want to see something we haven’t seen before though. Purely Romance.
Any suggestions?

How about a story where a man and a woman learn how to use grammar and spell things correctly? Would probably benefit you…
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)
Starring: Nia Vardalos, Corbett
Review: Toula Portakalos feels trapped in her large Greek family, where women are expected to do only three things: “marry Greek men, have Greek babies, and feed everyone until the day they die.” Rebelling against this fate, Toula quits the family restaurant, goes to college, fixes her hair, and falls in love with Ian, a guy who is way-too-good-to-be-true, and not Greek. This horrifies Toula’s Greek culture-crazed father and sets off a major culture clash between her loud, eccentric family (whose activities include roasting whole lambs on the front-yard barbecue spit) and Ian’s subdued, overcivilized Anglo-Saxon parents. This movie is that rare romantic comedy that has the courage to trust its simple, human story and not resort to overwrought Hollywood sentimentality and phony glamour. It’s also filled with big, fat, crowd-pleasing laughs, making it a wedding most worth attending.
Pretty Woman (1990)
Starring: Richard Gere, Julia Roberts
Review: Runaway smash hit about a wealthy businessman falling for effervescent hooker. This mainstream romantic fairy tale appeals to fans of slick, Hollywood-style love stories, devotees of lead stars.
The Notebook (2004)
Starring: Tim Ivey, Gena Rowlands
Review: The Notebook is the story of an older man reading a story about two young lovers, Allie and Noah, to an older woman in a nursing home. Allie and Noah, though in love, are separated because Allie’s family disapproves of Noah because of his poor family. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. When they meet again, Allie’s love for Noah is still alive and she must choose between her fianc? and her first love.
Tin Cup (1996)
Starring: Kevin Costner, Rene Russo
Review: Mainstream sports/romantic comedy about down-and-out golf pro attempting comeback to impress woman.
TITANIC
Review: The Titanic follows the story of the the unimaginable catastrophe of the unsinkable ship and the untold stories that lay in mystery two and a half miles beneath the waves of the North Atlantic. What buried tale of love, bravery, treasure and treachery, hidden by time and tragedy, waits here to be discovered? A beautiful socialite. A penniless artist. A priceless diamond. A romance so passionate that nothing on earth could stop it. A destiny so incredible that no one could have imagined it. A collision of lives that could only have happened on Titanic, the ship of dreams.
27 Dresses
Critics were not too fond of the movie, but for a chick flick 27 Dresses is a decent romantic film. Jane (Katherine Heigl) has been a bridesmaid 27 times. To make matters worse, Jane is called on to be the maid-of-honor when her sister, Tess (Malin Akerman) comes to town and falls for the man she has loved for years (Edward Burns).
Definitely Maybe
Definitely Maybe was released in February 2008, just in time for Valentine’s Day. After seeing Abigail Breslin in The Gift, I was so drawn to frank, pert style of the young actress. In Definitely Maybe Abigail Breslin plays Maya Hayes, the daughter of Will Hayes (Ryan Reynolds) an advertising executive who has just been served divorce papers.
Breslin played match maker in The Gift, and as Maya her goal is to reunite her parents. The movie is told through a smooth transition of flashbacks through which Will Hayes retells the story of life and love to his daughter. Her job is to figure out which woman in the story turned out to marry Will and be Maya’s mother. In a turn of romantic tales Maya learns life and love are more complicated than they appear.
Definitely Maybeis a sweet romantic movie that leaves even lonely hearts with a good feeling.
Sex and the City
This is the one movie in my top ten romantic movies of 2008 that I didn’t see. However, considering the hype surrounding Sex and the City, it would be ridiculous to leave it off any 2008 top ten romantic movie list.
The movie version of Sex and the City hit the studios with a splash. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), a New York sex and love writer, has plans to marry John James “Mr. Big” Preston (Chris Noth). The wedding blossoms from a small hasty affair to a city-wide event with a planned spread in Vogue, until Mr. Big jilts Carrie. Carrie’s wedding woes take place while Charlotte (Kristin Davis) continues to lament her failure to get pregnant; Samantha (Kim Cattrall) finds her committed relationship doesn’t live up to her idealistic notions; and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) rants when she Steve admits he cheated on her. Miranda’s ranting about marriage cause Mr. Big’s second thoughts.
In order to add it to my own 2008 top ten romantic movies list, I have to add it to my ‘must see’ list. I’ve heard it is predictable, but fun.
